Two individuals wearing ski masks and brandishing handguns stole cash and a wallet from an individual at approximately 8:15 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 2500 block of 95th Street. Sept. 26 suspicious vehicle call in a department store parking lot in the 2500 block of 95th Street turned up a stolen car and five occupants, two of them with illegal guns, police said. Chase Hardiman, 19, Chicago, was charged with possessing a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated resisting and resisting a peace officer and Amarion Brown, 18, Chicago, and Marquaz Whitfield, 20, 16800 block of Head Avenue, Hazel Crest, were charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, police said.
An 18-year-old former health food store employee punched a juvenile employee multiple times in the head when the younger teen prevented him from ringing up his own purchase, police said. Lucas D. Proudfoot, 200 block of Sonoma Road, New Lenox, is scheduled to appear at a bench trial Nov. 20 on assault and battery charges, according to Will County court records online.
