A weekend of riots is feared including marches in London today amid tensions nationwide following the Southport stabbings, with Sunderland seeing devastating street violence last night including a police station set alight.
Campaign group Hope Not Hate has identified more than 30 protests planned across the UK over the next two days.It comes after a series of far-right protests far and wide in recent days.More than 100 people were arrested in Whitehall after bottles and cans were thrown at police on Wednesday, while violence also erupted in Hartlepool and Manchester.At least eight have already been arrested after the violent scenes in Sunderland last night.
