A recent contributor to letters reminded me, once again, that our schools may have been neglecting teaching civics, economics and history. It was not the first time that a commenter confused a political system with an economic system . Most likely, he could not correctly define either anyway. He also confused the responsibilities of the three levels of government in our federal system.
They’re spending all their time squabbling with each other, throwing little tantrums with the MAGA crowd stomping their feet, that it’s become nothing but a joke with that party. It is a shame since this country truly needs two healthy political parties and we’re down to one. These are not serious people. They’re only serious about what’s in it for them and could not care less about the people in this country.
