A male motorcyclist died after being involved in a crash with an SUV around 1:40 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department. A fire then occurred after the crash, according to police.the SUV driver may have been intoxicated and possibly drove the wrong direction on the freeway before the head-on collision with the motorcyclist.
"There were three other occupants in the SUV, they appeared to be okay, no serious bodily injury to them," police told OnScene reporters. Police told local news they conducted a field sobriety test on the driver of the SUV, who they say was cooperating.
