The Ahsoka series has given the Nightsisters a chance to shine, but it's also made a retcon that's erased their lightsaber from Star Wars canon.

Though the Nightsisters have been around for many years, Ahsoka earned them the chance to make their full live-action debut, allowing more about the witches of Dathomir and their culture to be revealed.
One of the most exciting Nightsister moments in Ahsoka is the return of the Blade of Talzin, formerly of Mother Talzin. Arguably the most influential Nightsister of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Mother Talzin was the first to wield this blade, summoning the weapon from the nether to battle Jedi Master Mace Windu. In Ahsoka, the Great Mothers give the blade to Morgan Elsbeth, but its live-action depiction is different from its animated counterpart.
Star Wars’ Blade Of Talzin Was Originally A Corrupt Lightsaber First introduced in The Clone Wars season 6, the Blade of Talzin's origin is actually closer to that of a lightsaber than it is a sword. The sourcebook Nexus of Power, released in 2016, reveals that the Nightsisters would use tainted kyber crystals for their green, smoking blades, making their weapons something of a lightsaber themselves.
Though the appearance of the Blade of Talzin was rather short-lived in Ahsoka, it will hopefully get another chance to shine in the Star Wars stories still to come. Grand Admiral Thrawn's alliance with the Nightsisters will no doubt be an important part of his story that will be told in Dave Filoni's upcoming The Mandalorian-era movie, and should the Nightsisters be called to battle, the Blade of Talzin could once again return to the hands of another Nightsister.
