The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for lane restrictions along State Route 89A near Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley from Tuesday, Aug. 15, to Friday, Aug. 25, as work resumes on a pavement preservation project. Drivers should allow for extra travel time while the following daytime restrictions are in place from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Update: North- and southbound ramps on SR89A from SR89 will now be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 15. Please use Larry Caldwell Road to access SR89.During construction, SR 89A will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between the junction with SR 89A and Glassford Hill Road .There will be a 14-foot vehicle width restriction, and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph in the work zone.
The restrictions are needed so crews can remove and replace the existing top layer of pavement on the north- and southbound lanes.
