The kind act sums up the Scouse superstar's generous spirit
The 50-year-old is currently lighting up the screen as Andy Jones in the TV adaptation of Boiling Point. The Kirkby actor enjoyed roles in films such as Snatch and Gangs of New York before he shot to stardom with his scene stealing performance in This Is England.
Shaun was played in the show by Thomas Turgoose who won deserved acclaimed for his performance in the film when he was aged just 13 years old. Tragedy struck after filming when Thomas' mum, Sharon, died from cancer and This Is England was dedicated to her memory. Thomas heaped praise on his co-star during a chat with Private Parts podcast. He said: "When my mum died I moved in with my dad and I didn't know him, so Shane Meadows and Stephen Graham were going to adopt me if things didn't work out with my dad."
