Stephen K. Bannon’s contempt of Congress trial is set to resume on Wednesday with continued testimony from general counsel to the Jan. 6 committee. Follow our live updates:
U.S. prosecutors will resume Stephen K. Bannon’s trial Wednesday with ongoing testimony from witness Kristin Amerling, deputy staff director and general counsel of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Nichols has poured cold water on the idea, saying court precedents establish that high-ranking U.S.
