Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, throwing between TCU defensive lineman Dylan Horton and linebacker Dee Winters in Saturday's loss, has been off target in recent weeks.AUSTIN — For a teenage quarterback facing college football’s greatest dynasty in his second career start, Quinn Ewers sure seemed loose.
Over Texas’ past three games, Ewers is 54 of 119 for 687 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. The Longhorns didn’t score an offensive touchdown in the second half of any of those contests while being outscored 48-16.Worthy, who shattered program records last season as a freshman, has often looked out of sync with his big-armed quarterback.
Those aren’t the most explosive plays, but Robinson, Johnson, Worthy and Sanders have all demonstrated the ability to break big gains in those designs thanks to strong outside blocking.
