Davis stepped into the breach to replace Michael Beale in the interim and admits it's been a steep learning curve.
Steven Davis admits he’s got no idea where he’ll be or what he’ll be doing in six months’ time. But the Ibrox caretaker boss is confident the Rangers side he’s been in charge of these last seven days will be in a far better place by then than the dark spot he found them in.
“I’m delighted as it was always going to be difficult as St Mirren have started the season well,” he said after the 3-0 win in Paisley. Robbo has them really well organised so we’re delighted to keep a clean sheet and score three goals. He said: “I don’t know what tomorrow holds for me to be honest. Up to this point I’ve continued my rehab and need to make a decision on whether I play on or not. But I have a positive outlook on life. All is going to be good, not a problem!
“I’ve learned a lot over the two games. I’ve had a lot of support behind me. That has been massive for me and for the players as well. I just wanted to give them the tools to get a result over the two games. We didn’t do it on Thursday but I’m delighted for them – and for everybody at the club – that we have managed to get a result.”
