A man and woman have since been arrested
A man and a woman have been arrested following a police pursuit in Co Down in the early hours of the morning.
Stinger devices were deployed in the Downpatrick area before the vehicle was eventually brought to a stop. Officers then searched the BMW and seized a number of items including suspected Class C drugs.Inspector Nigel Donnelly said: “Shortly before 1.10am, local police officers noticed a BMW car driving erratically in the Killinchy area.
“Officers deployed stinger devices in the Downpatrick area before the vehicle was eventually stopped. The car was searched and a number of items were seized, including a quantity of suspected Class C Controlled drugs. "A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of suspected Class C Drugs. They both remain in police custody at this time.
