VIDEO: Stolen vehicle chase ends on Vaughn Lane in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The sounds of police sirens and helicopter rotors whirring overhead broke the silence of an otherwise quiet Montgomery neighborhood Friday afternoon and law enforcement converged on a stolen vehicle.
The police chase ended in the 1000 block of Vaughn Lane a short time after a noon traffic stop turned into a police pursuit, theOfficers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the area of Vaugh Road and Bell Road, but the driver fled in the Ford Focus sedan. The chase ended with the held of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Aviation Unit and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect, an unidentified male, was taken into custody and is awaiting charges to be filed. An investigation is ongoing.
