A resident snapped the unusual image which shows a black object floating in the sky.

The 'UFO' then vanished after the photographer snapped the image of the black object floating in the sky on May 29, sharing the snap on social media .A zoomed-in image doesn't clarify the mystery, but the 'saucer' appears shaped like a hexagon.

The person who spotted the 'craft' said: "It sat for a short while stationary then all of a sudden it started to move backwards in a straight line, quickly but not super fast then it just vanished.Another social media was quick to say that they spotted something similar."It floated over to the tree line above Harelaw Loch until it wasn't visible. Wish I had my telescope on me for a closer look.
