A bullet reportedly traveled about 400 yards and hit the Texas A&M-Texarkana ballplayer, who was sitting in the bullpen, police say.
TEXARKANA, Texas — A college baseball player was wounded during a game Saturday night when he was struck by a stray bullet that had been fired during an incident hundreds of feet away, police say.
Investigators determined the stray bullet had traveled about 400 yards and hit the ballplayer, police say. The Police say an altercation at a home near the ballpark led to two males, one 17 years old and the other 20 years old, exchanging gunfire in front of the residence. The two suspects are not in custody but warrants have been issued for their arrests. Three other males were arrested on drug and weapons charges.
