Jody has appeared at seven summer Paralympics representing Great Britain in swimming and cycling events, winning eight gold, one silver and three bronze medals, and is the first man to win medals at seven different Paralympic Games. He has also won 23 world titles across many World Championships, winning one as recently as this week at the World Cycling Championships in Glasgow, and also holds the world record in the Flying 200m and the 1km Time Trial, as well as 14 consecutive world titles in the MC4 Kilo Time Trial.
Jody was honoured with an MBE for services to Disability in sport in 2009, earning an OBE for services to swimming and cycling in 2017 and later a CBE for services to cycling in 2022.
