Amy Dowden has emotionally shared what she dreams of 'most nights' as she prepares for her second round of cancer treatment. The Strictly Come Dancing star is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.
The surgery came after she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones. The Caerphilly-born dancer then later confirmed after her surgery that doctors found another type of cancer which she described as a "massive blow" as it meant she would not be able to compete in Strictly this year as she'd have to undergo chemotherapy.
"Red Devil went in, had another cry but I’ve left knowing chemo 1 done and not as bad as I thought. This is due to the incredible team and nurses! Thank you NHS! Hopefully not too many side effects. One step closer to being back on the dance floor." She emotionally added: "That’s what’s hurting the most right now, I’d do anything to be there with my fellow pros right now. But for now chemo 1 [tick emoji].
Amy showed her followers what the light pink jumper looks like, while she could be heard saying in the background: "Chemo day number two, and I have to share this. I’ve been sent this and it’s so comfy, but it’ll help others, which is why I want to share it.
