The Strictly star, whose leg was amputated when he was three, has been forced to take a break from training after an infection.
The Paralympics cyclist and swimmer appeared on It Takes Two on Thursday where he opened up on the reason he’s not been able to rehearse this week. Speaking to the BBC spin off show’s host Jeanette Manrara, he revealed there is uncertainty over whether he'll take to the dance floor this weekend.
"By the time morning came round, I couldn't actually get my leg on. So that was Wednesday's training out. I tried again this morning, not been able to get my leg on. Jody and pro partner Jowita Przystal are still hoping they can perform on Saturday night and impress the judges with their American Smooth to Married Life from Up.
Speaking to Janette about the 'mistakes' he made during his dance on Saturday just gone, he was 'hard on himself' but Jowita gave him some kind words of encouragement.

A former music journalist who interviewed everyone from Giorgio Moroder to Trent Reznor, Jody also co-hosted Australia's first radio show about videogames, Zed Games. He's written for Rock Paper Shotgun, The Big Issue, GamesRadar, Zam, Glixel, Five Out of Ten Magazine, and Playboy.com, whose cheques with the bunny logo made for fun conversations at the bank. Jody's first article for PC Gamer was about the audio of Alien Isolation, published in 2015, and since then he's written about why Silent Hill belongs on PC, why Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is the best fantasy shopkeeper tycoon game, and how weird Lost Ark can get. Jody edited PC Gamer Indie from 2017 to 2018, and he eventually lived up to his promise to play every Warhammer videogame.
