The victim said: 'I have lasting tinnitus in my right ear - I was told even after therapy that it's not going to go away...I still have vertigo.'

The victim told a jury that he was hit on the head with George's hard hat and he lay unconscious for several minutes.Teen taken to hospital after being hit by car in GlasgowGlasgow Sheriff Court heard that Mr Brown was out with friends celebrating the end of a successful educational year. He stated in his evidence that he and his friends were"joking" around and laughing on the way back to their dorm.The witness said that he heard a"ruckus" and that the scaffolding shook.George attempted two or three times to leap over a fence at the scaffolding.He said:"I wanted to get down as quick as possible - I didn't know what to do at this point.Mr Brown stated that he fell to the ground unconscious from one to three minutes.
Ciara Bradley, defending, put it to Mr Brown that he kicked the fence at the scaffolding and was trying to bring it down.The lawyer also suggested that Mr Brown was shouting and swearing at George who told him to stop before approaching him in an aggressive manner.Miss Bradley said:"He had no option but to use his hand to defend his safety."The lawyer suggested that his helmet was in his other and that the hand Mr Brown was struck with was in a cast.
