Don't Expect A Suite Life Revival Over the years, Dylan and Cole Sprouse have both downplayed the possibility of reprising their famous Disney channel roles. The most detailed instance came in 2021, on The Drew Barrymore Show, as Cole Sprouse shared his thoughts on why reboots are a tricky thing to pull off. Sprouse noted that reboots, as the original, are partly fueled by nostalgia.
The flip side of that is if a reboot doesn't work and falls flat, it risks diminishing the original run. The Riverdale alum was even more direct at another point during the same interview, saying he and Dylan wouldn't be back for a reboot. But at one point during 2013, Dylan mentioned how he and Cole had approached Disney about an idea for a sequel show.
The details involved continuing the Suite Life of Zack and Cody franchise by bringing the titular twins back to the Tipton hotel in Boston with their mother, and they'd be mentors to a boy who lived with his father. Disney shot down the idea but countered it a year later with an altered story set in Miami that would also star Selena Gomez. Disney's pitch, which the Sprouses rejected, did not allow them to receive producer credits like they wanted.
