Rishi Sunak has faced renewed questions over bullying allegations against deputy prime minister Dominic Raab and Nadhim Zahawi’s tax affairs as he was grilled by Sir Keir Starmer at PMQs today.
The Prime Minister was confronted by Sir Keir and asked “how would he feel if one of his friends or relatives was being forced to work for a bully?” after a civil service union leader called for Mr Raab to be suspended while an investigation into his behaviour is ongoing. The Labour leader also claimed the Mr Sunak had “raised more questions than answers” in his sacking of Mr Zahawi and questioned the PM over whether he had been aware of allegations against him before he was appointed as Tory party chair last year.
Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of workers including school teachers and train drivers have taken to picket lines today in the biggest day of strikes in more than a decade.
