The retailer says it's the cheapest you'll find in stores this year
Morrisons is selling its most popular pumpkins for just 75p this year, to help families celebrate Halloween on a budget.
With food prices still sky high, the last thing parents need is to be wasting money. But with little ones wanting to carve their own creations ahead of the big day next week, many will be shelling out on the big orange squashes. The retailer's lower price of 75p for a medium pumpkin is available for all More Card customers, or 99p to those without.I bought exactly the same shopping from Asda and with the Tesco Clubcard to see which is cheapestIts full range includes munchkin pumpkins , ghost pumpkins , large pumpkins and even giant pumpkins .
Morrisons has also introduced QR code stickers on all pumpkin displays in stores this year, which take customers to information on how to get the most out of their pumpkins and avoid them simply going to waste. Tips include saving the pumpkins seeds for planting in the spring with cleaned pumpkin skins - an ideal household compost.
Chris Smith, fruit buying manager at Morrisons, said: “Any seasonal moment can be a cause for celebration but with budgets also top of mind this year we hope that by offering these cut-price options parents and little shoppers don’t have to compromise on carving the perfect centrepiece this Halloween.”
