Surviving Mediocrity by findingyourfire
There are incredible stories about surviving harrowing experiences or unfathomable circumstances, but we hardly hear about anyone surviving mediocrity. Do you know why?
Mediocrity is boring, passive and more of the same. Like eating a ham salad sandwich for lunch every day of your life. Experiencing any of those scenarios often prevent people from taking another stab at opportunities. Whenever you attempt something, be it a relationship, a career change or a move to a new location, if you end up being less than enthusiastic about the result you can decide it is not worth trying the same again.
Stuck in stagnation, you begin to accept situations you would not normally tolerate. You begin to rationalize your behavior by making excuses for why you can’t move on. Stagnation deepens the cycles of disappointment, fear, and disillusionment and gradually you have dug yourself a nice little miserable rut,Staying in the same place, doing the same thing, making the same excuses just means more mediocrity.
