The suspect taken into custody by Tallahassee police has been charged with murder and kidnapping in a double homicide investigation—whose victims are Black Lives Matter activist Oluwatoyin Salau and AARP volunteer Victoria Sims by lisettevoytko
Salau had been seen at local demonstrations reciting the names of Black people killed during police encounters, such as George Floyd andthat more than a dozen officers were deployed to find Salau, while others found Sims’ residence had been burglarized and her car was also missing.
