A suspect is in custody after a reported active shooter incident on the east side of Colorado Springs.
The incident was reported near the Alpine Vista Apartment Complex in the 6300 block of Barnes Road.
In an update, CSPD said a suspect is in custody and officers are"checking the area to make sure no one was injured."CSPD is respond to reports of an active shooter in the 6300 Block of Barnes Rd.CSPD will issue an all clear notice when appropriate. — Colorado Springs Police Department September 16, 2023 The department is asking the community to avoid the area at this time.
