Mohammed Muktar Raji is due to appear in court next month
Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation after a 'suspected firearm' was found in the Glodwick area. The probe was launched by detectives in the Oldham Challenger team.
Mohammed Muktar Raji, of Mansfield Road, has now been charged in connection with the investigation. The 21-year-old is accused of possession of a firearm.He has been remanded into custody. Raji is next due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on September 20. A post on the GMP Oldham Facebook page this morning said: "#CHARGE | Oldham detectives secure firearms charges. Mohammed Muktar Raji of Mansfield Road has been charged with possession of a firearm.
"He has been remanded into custody to next appear at Minshull Street Manchester Crown Court on the 20 September 2024. The charge comes after an investigation by Oldham Challenger after officers located a suspected firearm in Glodwick of Oldham."
