A 48-year-old man has appeared in court
A suspect has been named after a 'meat cleaver' was found by police. Merseyside Police were called to the vicinity of Renshaw Street/Leece Street, in the Georgian Quarter, shortly after 6pm on Monday, May 27 after reports of a man 'acting in an aggressive manner'. Around four police vehicles were reportedly at the scene and a large crowd gathered to watch the events unfold. A spokesperson for the force said a meat cleaver was recovered from the scene.
