A man has been remanded in custody
A man is due to face court after being charged with possession of a firearm in Salford . Greater Manchester Police arrested Fatjon Sadikaj on Friday, April 19.
It's alleged that a firearm was recovered on Chaddock Lane, in Worsley. GMP confirmed that it has since charged Sadikaj with possession of a firearm without certificate. The 36-year-old has been remanded in custody. Sadikaj, of Gorton Street, Eccles, is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court.His next court hearing is on May 25, GMP says. A police scene was in place on Gorton Street on April 19 and 20.
GMP also arrested a 36-year-old woman on suspicion of possession of a firearm, drugs offences and child neglect. She has since been bailed pending further enquiries, police have confirmed. A GMP spokesperson said: "Fatjon Sadikaj was charged and remanded on firearms offences and will await his court appearance. The female was bailed for further enquires."
