Authorities at the time said the suspect pulled up behind Jackson’s truck in a silver SUV, exited the vehicle and fired several shots at Jackson.Hall, who lived in Fairfield, then fled the scene. Officers from multiple agencies later set up a perimeter in western Jefferson County, primarily the Brighton area, after the suspect was reportedly spotted there.
