CINCINNATI, Ohio — A University of Cincinnati student was killed and another student was injured when a suspected stolen vehicle went through a red light and struck the students, reports say. Cayden Turner, 18, was pronounced dead at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after she was struck by the vehicle at about 3:47 p.m., according to Cincinnati police. Namiya Russell, 18, was listed in stable condition, police say.
A 2014 Honda CR-V sped through a red light and hit Turner and Russell as they crossed Jefferson Avenue in the marked crosswalk, police say. The CR-V continued on Jefferson Avenue before hitting a tree. The unidentified driver jumped out and ran from the area, police say.
