Families came out for the holiday fun at the Evanston Trunk or Treat event at the Robert Crown Community Center and Library this weekend.
This year’s Trunk or Treat event on Friday, Oct. 27 at the Robert Crown Community Center and Library at 1801 Main St. in Evanston attracted at least 300 costumed children ready for treats, tricks and fun. Those popular inflatable dinosaur costumes add color to the literal parade of Halloween costumes at Trunk or Treat on Oct. 27, 2023 at the Robert Crown Community Center and Library in Evanston.
“It’s supposed to be a battle helicopter, actually,” Carlos Perez said. The helicopter took about two weeks for Perez to build. The family had to prepare food in the kitchen around the helicopter build but it was worth it, both parents agreed with smiles. “It was fun, definitely,” Mendoza said. “He was having a fun time building it so I decided to do clean up duty. I was still able to make dinner, thankfully.” Barbie was a popular Trunk or Treat theme and pink vehicle destination.
