A man was in critical condition late Friday night after he had to be pulled from the water off a beach in Bradley Beach, police said.
Around 5:45 p.m., several people went into the water at the Kent Avenue beach and two became distressed as they tried to swim back to shore, Bradley Beach Police Chief Leonard Guida told NJ Advance Media. Multiple rescue agencies were called to the scene and were able help one man back to shore, but another went under the waves for about 20 minutes before he was found and pulled out, Guida said.The swimmer was taken to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition as of 11 p.m., authorities said.Please consider supporting
