An independent filmmaker is to begin filming the story of Jo Bateman's legal battle with South West Water in April
Mr Piper, whose previous work includes personal stories about the Tour de France and independent record shop owners, is set to begin filming in April. He hopes to release the film in independent cinemas across the country and secure a television broadcasting deal. Ms Bateman said she was “excited and nervous” about the documentary, but added she was “willing to do anything” to get the message about “the illegal dumping of sewage into our rivers and seas out there”.
“In that first meeting, he said he’d go away and think about it, and that it may or may not happen, but within just a week or so he came back to me and said he’d got a team together and we would begin filming in April.
