Take That’s Howard Donald has apologised for 'liking' transphobic tweets. The star had been lined-up to play Nottingham Pride but was later removed from the bill for his actions.
Festival next month, but following his alleged twitter activity, he has now been axed from the headline slot.
Taking place in Nottingham on July 29, the Pride festival was due to see the crooner headline alongside the likes of Horse Meat Disco, Essel, and Sam Sax.today, Groovebox wrote: ‘In light of recent events, Howard Donald will no longer be playing at our Nottingham Pride Festival on Saturday 29th July at Binks Yard.
‘We would like to offer our thanks to the public for alerting us to the situation this morning and also appreciate your patience whilst we spoke to the relevant parties. ‘We are working on confirming a replacement headliner alongside Horse Meat Disco, Tayce, Danny Beard & ESSEL for Nottingham Pride and will make an announcement in due course.’Pride Month is here, with members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies celebrating their identities, accomplishments, and reflecting on the struggle for equality throughout June.
