Takumi Minamino has enjoyed a positive start to the campaign, one year after his Liverpool departure
Takumi Minamino has hailed Jurgen Klopp's man-management skills as the former Liverpool attacker begins to flourish one year on from his departure.
He would go on to spend two-and-a-half years on Merseyside, winning a domestic trio of trophies before departing to sign for AS Monaco in a deal reaching £15.5m last summer. Minamino largely saw action in the cup competitions, and his important contribution of four goals and one assist in the earlier rounds of the 2021/22 League Cup will always be appreciated among supporters.
The manager has since been replaced by Adi Hutter - one of Minamino's former bosses at Salzburg - to which he has responded excellently.
