Early voting results show O’Hare with 58% of the votes while Price is trailing with 35% of the votes. "I think the message is loud and clear. It's that Tarrant County Republicans want a conservative candidate. Clearly, they thought I was the conservative candidate," O'Hare said. "We're not declaring victory just yet. We are waiting for results from today's votes. It would take something unforeseen for that to change."

In the race to succeed Whitley, Price arguably has the most name recognition and is the longest-serving Mayor in Fort Worth history. Before that, she served as Tarrant County Tax Assessor. "I’ve been in the game a long time. I didn’t intend to get back in the game, and I got called back to do it," she said. "And if I read this calling wrong, then so be it."

Price found herself in recent weeks defending her positions, especially on the airwaves. This ended up being a much rougher primary than recent elections she'd won fairly easily as Fort Worth's mayor. The former Farmers Branch mayor is clearly ahead in the polls. He spent Tuesday in Southlake with his supporters.
