Taylor Swift is once again using her enormous platform to speak up against President Donald Trump and is sounding a stronger note that many Democratic leaders. On Saturday, Swiftto talk about what has rapidly become the top political issue around the country: the United States Postal Service. Swift is siding with Democrats who say the Trump administration has launched an all-out assault on the Postal Service before an election in which more people than ever are expected to vote by mail.
“Trump’s calculated dismantling of USPS proves one thing clearly: He is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president,” Swift wrote on Twitter. “He’s chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power.” The pop star then went on to accuse Trump of “ineffective leadership” that made the coronavirus crisis worse and now he wants to take “advantage of it to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely.
