Teacher downed red wine from Greggs paper cup and took boy's hoody then wore it herself

A woman who worked at a school for abuse victims has been banned from teaching for life after she was seen swigging red wine out of a Greggs cup.

The 42-year-old was asked to leave but refused to do so. She later admitted being intoxicated but insisted it was "one stupid mistake". An investigation was launched by the Teaching Regulation Agency involving interviewing several colleagues and pupils at the school. One witness said she saw Ms Hall drinking from a Greggs coffee cup on July 3 in 2019.

Ms Hall, who failed to attend the TRA hearing on November 9, had been employed at Lincoln House School from May 2019 to September 2019 as a teacher. The hearing was told that during her four months at the school "there had been concerns regarding professional boundaries between Ms Hall and Pupil A" but she ignored the concerns when they were raised with her.
