No charges were filed after an investigation in the North Carolina classroom incidents.
reports Catherine Webster received a text from her son Brady, a sixth-grade student at Smithfield Middle School, with a selfie showing blue painter’s tape covering his mouth on Feb. 14.
Webster asked him “Who did that?” and, when the boy didn’t respond, she contacted Principal LaShunda Faison, prompting an investigation. Brady reportedly told Faison that it had occurred multiple times to several kids in the classroom, and said that the teacher would also sometimes tape students’ wrists together.as Dawn Felix, had started teaching at the Johnston County school in August. She resigned on Feb. 17, according to the school district.
