Der betrieb an Thunderbolt-Ports mit USB-C-Buchse ist ebenfalls möglich.Allerdings wird ein weiteres Kabel benötigt, was die Portabilität weiter einschränkt. Der USB-Anschluss genügt nämlich nicht, um die SSD mit ausreichend Strom zu versorgen. Daher wird noch ein 1,2 Meter langes Netzteilkabel benötigt.
