A teenage girl who was hit by debris from a burning, hijacked vehicle during disorder in Derry on Monday night will now require surgery for her facial injuries, police say.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating a vehicle hijacking in Galliagh last night, Monday 7th August, are appealing for information and witnesses. "Detectives from Strand Road Criminal Investigation Division urge anyone who captured footage of what happened, or who knows who was involved, to come forward."
