The police cruiser was on its way to assist another city officer when the overnight Tuesday crash happened, state police said.
Marion Holmes, 18, was the front-seat passenger of a Mercury Sable that crashed around 12:34 a.m. at 19th and Holly streets in the city, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The Mercury Sable’s driver ran away from the scene after the crash and was last seen walking east on Holly Street, state police said.
