Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Megan Frazer confirmed Luke Rissler was found safe Tuesday afternoon, but did not provide any additional details. Search teams from multiple counties conducted ground and aerial searches of the nearly 700-acre park in Cooke Township Monday afternoon, through the evening and into Tuesday morning. TheRissler had last been seen around 4:30 p.m. Monday, walking with his dog toward a park bathroom near State Route 233 and Pine Grove Road, according to Duane Hagelgans of the South Central Task Force. When the dog returned without Rissler, his family called the police.
