Raven's White Raven form makes a surprise reappearance in new DC Comics art for the upcoming Teen Titans series, Titans United: Bloodpact, from the talented DCWJ01.
In gorgeous new DC Comics art from Derrick Chew, Raven's 'White Raven' costume returns as the Teen Titans hero stars in a variant cover for the superteam's upcoming series. The Raven-starring image will appear on the cover of Teen Titans United: Bloodsport #1 by DC Comics, hinting that one of the character's most powerful forms will be making a surprise return in the comic book.
Raven is one of the core members of the Teen Titans, as the daughter of the demon Trigon possesses some incredible, yet dark abilities. The empath can manipulate emotions, control shadows and darkness, create illusions, and has become a magic expert. However, one of her coolest forms came after she freed herself from Trigon, as Raven became White Raven untethered from her father, significantly increasing her powers in the process.
While other covers for the series show Raven in her usual costume and form, Derrick Chew's variant art could tease that her white form will appear in the new miniseries. With the Titans TV series about to explore the Church of Blood and possibly reintroduce Trigon as a villain, it seems the comic might be lining up a similar storyline. If that's true, White Raven and her increased powers could return to fight her demonic dad after she's freed herself from his hold.
Even if the art turns out just to be a variant cover and not actually a plot point, seeing Raven's powerful White Raven form return is a welcome sight, as it's one of her better costumes and shows what the hero can be separated from Trigon. Readers will find out whether the White Raven will return when Teen Titans United: Bloodsport #1 comes to comic book stores in September.
