The 15-year-old is standing trial accused of murder
A teenage boy "sliced" at Alfie Lewis "at every opportunity he could" before he died, a court has heard.
On Wednesday, jurors heard from more witnesses, including a teenage girl who saw the incident. Her evidence - during which she said she knew of Alfie - was presented to the court in the form of a pre-recorded interview with police. She told an officer: "I wasn't really paying that much attention but when I looked up at first I thought there was a fight kicking off between two people in the middle of the main road.
In her cross-examination, the girl told Nicholas Lumley KC, for the defence, that when Alfie shouted he seemed "more shocked and confused as to what was going on." She added: "He was quite distressed." She said she saw the "slicing" happen "more than once" but "couldn't give an exact number." A young woman also gave evidence, and in her police interview said she saw Alfie "covered in blood." The court heard: "There were two boys and I thought they were fighting at first but then the guy who attacked the other guy - I didn't see his face, but it looked like a one-way fight.
