A teenage girl has been arrested after a pensioner was killed after a car crashed into him outside of a Thai restaurant.
The man, aged in his 70s, was on a pedestrian crossing in Banbury, Oxfordshire, when the Nissan Paxo hit him.A 19-year-old girl also received minor injuries in the crash outside of the Thai Orchid restaurant on Friday night.Thames Valley Police confirmed she has since been released on bail. Sergeant Edward Crofts of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: ‘We are conducting an investigation following this incident in which a man has sadly lost his life.‘Our enquiries are ongoing and one person has been arrested and bailed.
‘We are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to the collision.
