Police attempted to stop a car in Paisley but the driver allegedly attempted to flee the scene.
Officers had flagged down a red Audi to stop on Underwood Road on Saturday but the driver allegedly took off. A pursuit through the town's streets came to an end after the driver crashed into another vehicle at Caledonia Street, reports Glasgow Live.
One eyewitness told Glasgow Live they were forced to slam on the breaks to avoid a crash with the driver which only ended as the police used their vehicle to stop the driver. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Shortly after 11am on Saturday, 6 April, 2024, police attempted to stop a car on Underwood Road, Paisley, in connection with road traffic offences. A short pursuit took place, which came to an end when the car crashed in on Underwood Road at Caledonia Street.
