Customers are being strongly advised not to consume the skewers if they have purchased them.
Tesco, the supermarket behemoth, has issued a "don't eat it" warning to customers after recalling a batch of its festive party food.
The recall concerns a specific date code of Tesco 8 Chicken Tsukune Skewers, 280g, due to an incorrect Use by Date code of December 23, 2024, printed on the packs instead of December 10, 2024, reports the Express.Batch Code: 241025.They further advised customers to return the product to any Tesco store for a full refund, adding that "No receipt is required...For any further enquiries, please contact Tesco Customer Service Team on 0900 505 555.
In other food recall news, Morrisons recently recalled its crushed garlic. The supermarket revealed that an ingredient preventing microbiological growth was omitted from the product, posing a potential risk to consumers.Morrisons advised: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund, no other products or date codes are known to be affected by this issue.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
