Tesla delivered a record 1.3 million electric cars in 2022, the company has announced. That’s a strong 40% uplift on 2021’s sales figures. However, its fourth quarter total of 405,000 vehicles fell short of the Wall Street forecast of 430,000 in the final three months of the year – and behind chief Elon Musk’s 50% growth goal. Tesla blamed ‘significant Covid and supply chain-related challenges throughout the year’ in a note to investors.
