The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. Saturday as a result of an altercation that took place at Spring Lake Park in a nearby neighborhood.
TEXARKANA, Texas — A Texas A&M-Texarkana baseball player struck by a stray bullet at George Dobson Field during the team’s game against University of Houston-Victoria is in stable condition, according to Texarkana police.
According to the university, the 18-year-old victim was taken to St. Michael Hospital and underwent surgery. The baseball game was declared a “no contest” by the Red River Athletic Conference, and the Scout-O-Rama that was taking place at another area of the park was also ended as a precaution.Saturday’s baseball game vs UHV has been declared a “no contest” by the Red River Athletic Conference. |
