Self is facing criticism for saying on CNN that people who want more than prayer to curb gun violence do not "believe in an almighty God who is absolutely in control of our lives."The U.S. congressman who represents Allen is facing criticism after denouncing people who say more than prayer is needed to combat gun violence.
“Those are people that don’t believe in an almighty God who is absolutely in control of our lives,” the Republican lawmaker told CNN’s Paula Reid. “I’m a Christian. I believe that he is.”, killing eight people, including children, and wounding seven.
